International High School at ASCEND

ASCEND Online is a fully accredited Canadian high school, which operates under British Columbia’s Ministry of Education Independent School Branch. As such, ASCEND Online is authorized to prepare students for the British Columbia Dogwood Diploma, which is recognized by all post-secondary institutions.



Fees -

While the Ministry of Education does not fund students who are not permanent residents of British Columbia, international students are welcome to enroll in courses according to the school year’s tuition fees.

2016-2017
Tuition: $795 per course; $650 per course if enrolled in three or more courses.
Application: annual $75 for first course of enrolment year; fee waived for additional courses taken.

Exams -

Students who are studying provincially examinable courses must be invigilated by a British Columbia certified teacher. As such, students must attend their exams in person. Dates and locations of exams for the 2016-17 school year will be posted at a later date.

Visa requirement - 

International students who are studying in Canada must always have a valid and up-to-date Student Visa while in Canada.
