ASCEND Online supports the right of parents in BC to homeschool their children under Sections 12–14 of the School Act. Registered homeschooling is parent-led: it is not supervised by a BC certified teacher, is not required to follow the BC curriculum, and is not inspected by the Ministry. This is different from ASCEND’s enrolled, teacher-led online learning. Registration must be completed by September 30 each year. Questions? Email registration@ascendonline.ca.
