ASCEND Online is the BC provincial Catholic Independent Online School. We operate out of the Diocese of Kamloops. Our students and teachers live, learn and work around the province of BC.


ASCEND teachers are passionate professionals, dedicated to life-long learning including continued growth in their own faith journey.

ASCEND teachers are Independent Contractors that travel to meet face to face with their K-9 students and families at scheduled checkpoints throughout the year. Our High School specialist teachers guide students on their way to completing a Dogwood, Evergreen or Adult Graduation Certificate.

High School Subject Specialists
As our High School course options grow, we will be looking for candidates in the spring for the 2018-2019 academic year. Applicants should have proficient knowledge of Video, Moodle, Skype or other online learning technology and be a BC certified (or certifiable) teacher. Preference will be given to candidates with:
  • Authentic striving and ongoing growth of a life centered on Christ
  • Appreciation for family and parents as primary in both faith and educational formation.
  • Passion and knowledge of subject area and creative initiative for online method of delivery
  • A valid BC teaching certificate or eligible for certification through the BC Ministry of Education.
